I don’t always know how to describe my behaviors, but I can categorize them into two main areas:
Conscious Behaviors
These are the actions and decisions I make with full awareness and intention. They are driven by my goals, values, and rational thinking.
Unconscious Behaviors
I’ve realized that most of my unconscious behaviors are not in my favor. They often stem from instinct and primitive sources, operating automatically without my conscious awareness. These behaviors can sometimes lead to actions that don’t align with my interests or long-term goals.
This awareness led me to search for understanding what I do and why I do. Last week, I came accross with a book titled “Atomic Habits” which is about thLast week, I came across a book titled “Atomic Habits” about the nature of habits. The main idea was to indicate that we can build new good habits based on some fundamental systematics as suggested;
- Cue
- Craving
- Respond
- Reward
If you determine these steps clearly for each habit you want to have or you want to break bad ones, you can begin to feel much control over your behaviors.
